Our Club
Keymer Folk Dance Club was formed in 1950 and is a popular social club in the village. The club meets on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Mondays of the month and we enjoy a range of folk and country dances from the English and American traditions.
All are welcome and you don’t need to bring a partner. We start at 7.30pm, break for refreshments half-way through and finish at 9.30pm. There is a small club membership fee of £3.00 and we pay £4.00 each evening. Remember, your first visit is free!
OUR CALLERS
The Caller is the person who teaches us the dances. They are usually people with plenty of dancing experience.
We have resident club callers who walk us through the dance slowly and make sure we all know what to do. Then we dance it to the music.
Our next club night is on Monday January 15th. This will be the first meeting in 2023
