We at the Keymer Folk Dance Club are so proud. One of our members, Sean Goddard has been awarded the Gold Badge of the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS). These badges are awarded to special people who have made a specific contribution to the development of folk activities. Sean will be awarded his Gold Badge at an all day event on 9th March at the Adastra Hall, Hassocks, BN6 8QH
The day starts at 2pm with an afternoon Country dances with Sean calling the dances with Eclectic Regency. At 6pm, the Copper Family from Rottingdean will sing old Sussex Songs and Tales. The badge pinning will take place at 6.45pm with the citation and badge presentation by Prof. Theresa Buckland. There will be an evening Barn Dance starting at 7.45pm with dances called by national caller Madeleine Smith, with music being provided by the Keyemr Occasionals led by Chris Jewell.
